Do you charge for an initial meeting?

No. Your initial consultation is always complimentary. It’s an opportunity for us to learn about your goals, answer your questions, and determine whether we’re a good fit — with no cost and no obligation.

Do I need to come into the office for my first meeting?

No. We can meet in person at our Menomonee Falls office, or we can connect virtually by phone or video. Many clients prefer virtual meetings for convenience, and we’re happy to accommodate whatever works best for you.

___________________________________

Do you work with clients outside of Wisconsin?

Yes. We work with clients across the country and are licensed in multiple states. Whether you live locally or out of state, we can meet virtually and provide the same level of planning and service.

___________________________________

Is there a minimum amount required to become a client?

We don’t have a strict minimum, but most of the families we work with typically have $250,000 or more in investable assets. This helps ensure we can provide the level of planning, service, and ongoing guidance our process is built around.
If you’re unsure whether you’re a fit, we’re always happy to have a complimentary initial conversation.

Are you a fiduciary?

Yes. When we provide advisory services, we act as a fiduciary, which means we are required to put your best interests first. As a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® professional, Steve is also held to the CFP Board’s fiduciary standard when providing financial advice.
We also have the ability to operate in a non-fiduciary capacity when appropriate — for example, when offering certain brokerage services or products. This flexibility allows us to tailor our approach to your needs and provide guidance in the way that best supports your goals.

How do you charge for your services?

Most of our client relationships are managed on a fee-based advisory platform. Our standard advisory fee is 1% annually, which covers ongoing planning, portfolio management, and proactive service throughout the year.

We review all fees clearly and transparently before any decisions are made, so you always know exactly how costs work and what’s included.

Can you help me decide when to start Social Security?

Yes. We use specialized Social Security planning software that analyzes your age, benefits, income needs, and long-term goals to help determine the most appropriate claiming strategy. We can model early benefits, full retirement age, and delayed credits so you can make an informed decision.

___________________________________

What types of clients do you typically work with?

We primarily serve individuals and families preparing for or transitioning into retirement, as well as multigenerational families seeking coordinated planning. Many clients come to us with multiple accounts, old 401(k)s, or a “messy financial garage” that needs organizing.

___________________________________

How often will we meet or review my plan?

We meet regularly or as requested, and more often during major life events or when planning needs arise. Our proactive service model ensures your plan stays aligned as life evolves.

Do you provide tax preparation services?

Yes. Through SRTF Tax Prep LLC, an independently owned and operated business, Steve offers professional tax preparation services. This is separate from Wells Fargo Advisors Financial Network and Romagna Wealth Management, but many clients appreciate having both planning and tax preparation support available.

___________________________________

Can you help consolidate old 401(k)s and retirement accounts?

Absolutely. Many clients come to us with multiple accounts from previous employers. We help review, organize, and consolidate where appropriate so your retirement picture is clear and coordinated.

___________________________________

Can you help organize my financial accounts and documents?

Yes. Our planning process is designed to “clean out the financial garage,” organize what you have, update beneficiaries, and create a coordinated plan moving forward.

___________________________________

Do you offer virtual tools to help me stay organized?

Yes. Through eMoney®, you can view your accounts, track progress, and stay organized with a secure, real-time financial dashboard.

___________________________________

Do you work with multiple generations of a family?

Yes. Many of our relationships span parents, children, and even grandchildren. We help coordinate planning across generations to support long-term family goals.

___________________________________

Do you help with retirement income planning?

Yes. We build customized retirement income strategies that coordinate Social Security, pensions, investment withdrawals, and tax planning. Our goal is to help you create a reliable, tax-efficient income stream throughout retirement.

___________________________________

Can you review my current investments?

Absolutely. We can review your existing accounts — even those not held with us — to evaluate fees, risk levels, performance, and alignment with your goals. There’s no cost for this review.

___________________________________

Do you help with tax-efficient investing?

Yes. Tax efficiency is built into our planning process. We look at asset location, Roth strategies, tax-loss harvesting, and withdrawal sequencing to help reduce your lifetime tax burden.

___________________________________

Can you coordinate with my CPA or attorney?

Yes. With your permission, we’re happy to collaborate directly with your tax professional or estate attorney to ensure your financial plan, tax strategy, and legal documents all work together.

___________________________________

Do you offer estate planning guidance?

We don’t draft legal documents, but we help you think through beneficiaries, trusts, powers of attorney, and legacy goals. We can also coordinate with your attorney to implement your estate plan.

___________________________________

How do you communicate with clients throughout the year?

We stay in touch proactively through scheduled reviews, check-ins during major market events, and ongoing planning conversations. You can also reach us anytime by phone or email.

___________________________________

What happens after I become a client?

We follow a structured onboarding process that includes organizing your accounts, setting up your financial dashboard, reviewing your goals, and building your personalized plan. Most clients feel more clarity and confidence within the first 30–60 days.

Can you help with college planning?

Yes. We assist with 529 plans, financial aid considerations, and long-term education funding strategies for children and grandchildren.

What makes your practice different?

We combine personalized planning, proactive service, and a family-focused approach. Many clients appreciate our ability to simplify complex situations, coordinate across generations, and provide clear, actionable guidance.
